Students work and learn and play in multi-age, multi-ability groups.
12-15year-olds may opt to register as a TILT and enter the training program
What is the TILT program?
TILT stands for "Teachers In Leadership Training"
Students in TILT are in a mentoring position and will be trained how to lead, teach, mentor, and love younger campers.
TILTs receive special training and mentoring from Eureka teaching staff
Graduating TILTs earn special recognition and a certificate along with the privilege of returning to Eureka camps as a junior counselor when they are older.
Can parents volunteer for camp tuition credit?
Yes. Please contact Mrs. Richmond for more information on how this works.
How are campers placed in groups?
We place campers in multi-age core groups that work together as a team for their week. We balance boys/girls, skill level (based on previous enrollment in our programs), and grade level.
Our philosophy is that age is not the determiner of the ability to contribute or the quality of the contribution. We all have things to learn by learning from others of all ages.
Older campers learn to lead with grace and humilty, share knowledge, encourage and mentor others.
Younger campers learn to contribute with confidence - not hindered by age, gain skill by trying something others might have thought them "too young" to do, and grow in maturity as they follow the lead of good mentors
Can I make payments on weekly tuition?
Yes. You may select your weeks and submit payment via post-dated checks that will be deposited 2 weeks before camp.
However, summer registration AND weekly deposit of $30 MUST be submitted to hold your child's place in camp and is not included in a payment plan.
